Jeff Myers

Biography

Jeff Myers started showing at the age of fifteen  and has had over twenty one person shows and many group shows, as of 2007. He was trained at UC Davis, Sac. State and Sacramento City College. However, the emergence of his unique style is the result most likely from the hundreds of hours he trained himself in the studio, unfettered by set institutional practices.

Jeff’s primary mediums are oil painting, charcoal, pastel and collage, but recently he has also  experimented with photography while using the same approach to form and composition.

Jeff continues to call Sacramento his home of which he is a native. He was born into a creative environment, for his parents are both professional photographers. Jeff lived in New York City for five years in the late 90s and still makes frequent trips back to the art capitol to show work and view major exhibitions.
