ABOUT THE ARTIST

Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Manuel Nunes attended San Jose State University where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in art in 1975. After a ten year hiatus Manuel felt the need to create and began working with monotypes in 1985. Three years later he began painting landscapes in oil. Having moved to the Central Valley of California in 1982, Manuel and his wife Judy have been self sustaining artists. While accomplished as a jewelry maker and painter of other subject matter, Manuels first love is the landscape he calls home.
